About the images on this site
Many of the images on this site are computer-generated. We use them to show what a product looks like — a garage door panel, a cabinet finish, a floor coating — when we have not yet photographed that exact item on one of our own builds. Photographs of our own finished jobs are on the Builds page.
Generated images are illustrations, not promises. Colour on a screen is not colour in daylight, textures are approximations, and small details may not match the item you receive. Ask us for a physical sample or a supplier link before you choose a finish you care about.
Products change and run out. Panel styles, colours, hardware and appliances shown here are what our suppliers offered when the page was written. Any of them may be discontinued, altered, back-ordered or withdrawn without notice. Nothing on this site is an offer to supply a specific product.
Photographs of finished builds are our own work, published with our clients' permission. Product reference material may reproduce a manufacturer's own imagery or design; those remain the property of their owners, and we claim no rights in them.
If you believe an image here infringes your copyright, email info@abls.ca with the page address and what you own. We will take it down while we look into it, rather than argue first.
Quotes, prices and specifications
Only a written, signed quote commits either of us. Nothing on this website is a price, an estimate or a contract. Specs described here are what we normally build to; the drawings and the contract for your job are what actually govern it, and they win over anything written on this site.
Where a figure does appear — a starting price, a promotional offer — it is a guide from the date it was published, excludes GST unless stated, depends on your lot, access and the condition of what is already there, and may be withdrawn at any time.
Timelines given anywhere on this site are typical, not guaranteed. Permits, inspections, weather, supply and the City's own queues move them, and none of those are within our control.
We are a licensed Alberta contractor and we build to the Alberta edition of the National Building Code. Statements about what code requires are our understanding at the time of writing. Code changes, and the authority having jurisdiction decides.
What we do with your details
If you fill in the form on this site, you send us your name, phone number, and optionally an email address, a postal address, the sort of project you are planning, when you would like to be called, and whatever you write in the message box.
That goes to one place: our own inbox. It is delivered by email through Brevo, our email provider, so that it reaches us reliably. We use it to call you back and to quote your job. Nothing is stored in a database on this website.
We do not sell your details, we do not share them with anyone outside the people working on your job, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you asked us a question. Suppliers and subcontractors are told only what they need to price or build the work.
We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful, which for an active client means for the life of the job and the warranty after it. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to keep a record of work performed.
You have the right under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act to ask what we hold about you and to have it corrected. Write to info@abls.ca.
Using this site
You are welcome to read, print and share these pages. The words, photographs of our work, drawings and page designs belong to 2684521 Alberta Inc. and may not be republished as your own or used to advertise someone else's building work.
Information here is offered in good faith and may be out of date. It is general information about building in Calgary, not professional advice about your property. Do not rely on it for a decision that needs an engineer, a surveyor, a lawyer or the City.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on this website. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded, including under the contract for your job.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta.
